Our School
Our Mission
The Mission of KLA Schools is to provide a safe, innovative environment and high quality education for the students of our communities inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach to education.
A Letter from the Director
Welcome to our School Community!
My name is Patricia Monaco, and I am the Director and one of the founders of KLA
Schools of Pembroke Pines. My educational and professional background is in business
and early childhood education. I have two children, Mikel and Valentina, who taught me
how to become a mom and to be passionate about the early years of life. They inspired
me to search for an approach to education that would be respectful of their
personalities, interests and abilities; that is how I found KLA Schools and their very
human and intelligent educational philosophy. Alongside KLA Schools and my partner
Cristina Muci, I was able to create a school environment that acknowledges children as
capable individuals, that celebrates their curiosity, and that sees the extraordinary within
everyday experiences.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach to Early Childhood Education, our team of
wonderful educators believes that children have their own personality, intelligence, and
innate abilities. Our mission is to support the development of these abilities and instill a
love for learning in all our students by allowing them to express their ideas and thought
in many different and unique ways.
As a school, we recognize and understand the importance and responsibility of caring
for your little one. We absolutely love what we do and put forth all our knowledge and
effort to guarantee your child is cared for with love and challenged to learn and solve
problems, while respecting his own pace and interests.
We respect every member of our community and believe in values of inclusion, diversity
and compassion. We invest in the professional development of our team to support the
concept of a progressive approach of education.
We welcome you to visit our school and learn more about what we do.
Hope to see you soon,
Patricia Monaco
Managing Director

Parents as Our Partners
Parents are a crucial factor in our program. In fact, parents are our partners. Our teachers understand and respect that parents are their children’s first teacher. Parental involvement in the school gives their children a sense of security and is deeply appreciated. We recognize that stable, quality relationships during the early years are crucial for developmental outcomes in the future.
Collaboration between teachers, parents and the children is an integral part of the educational experience at KLA Schools. Our goal is not simply to build a strong, warm and nurturing connection with each child, but to extend that connection to our community of parents. By working in a collaborative group setting, children learn life skills such as compromise, reasoning, respect for others’ opinions and enhancement of their sense of community. Children benefit from experiencing many of the same principles at home that they do in school, and they thrive with this consistency. Teachers also offer frequent support for our families and our communities through transparency and by being a source of information about childhood education and development.
Photo Tour
We would like to welcome you to your digital tour of KLA Schools. From the moment you walk into any of our locations, you will know that you are in a KLA School. Each one of our schools has a modern feel and design unlike any other. Features such as wood floors and furniture, large picture windows for all classrooms and offices, large corridors and classroom sizes, soft tone colors, and play soft furniture brought in from Italy are some of the visual components that makes KLA stand out from all the rest.

Community Service
As part of our philosophy and educational approach, we believe it is essential to make visible that fact that each child knows and understands that we are all different and can co-exist peacefully. We have different ways of thinking, a fact we embrace. In fulfilling this vision, KLA Schools has formed relationships with charitable organizations within each of the communities it exists. Read more about our involvement with the following foundations:
